Since 2018, our founder has been passionate about supporting individuals on their journeys toward growth and resilience. Clinical Director/Therapist

Dezerrae Houk, MS, LPC-S

Dezerrae is a dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) passionate about helping individuals navigate life’s challenges and achieve personal growth. With a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Arizona State University, Dezerrae brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her practice.

Dezerrae specializes in providing personalized, trauma-informed, and LGBTQIA+ affirming care to clients across Arizona. She has extensive experience working with children aged 3 and up, adolescents, and adults, addressing a wide range of concerns, including anxiety, adults who struggle with a history of childhood trauma, depression, stress, and trauma.

Using an eclectic approach tailored to meet each client’s unique needs, Dezerrae incorporates various evidence-based techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and play therapy.

At the core of Dezerrae’s philosophy is a firm belief in the inherent strength and resilience of every individual. She views therapy as a collaborative journey with clients taking the lead as navigators of their healing. Dezerrae provides judgment-free support, education, and tools to foster growth and success.

LaChelle Strutz, MS

LaChelle is a compassionate and dedicated counseling intern who has recently completed her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Capella University. She holds undergraduate degrees in Forensic Psychology and Substance Abuse Counseling, providing a strong foundation in both emotional insight and behavioral understanding.

LaChelle works with clients navigating life transitions, identity exploration, anxiety, self-doubt, and family conflict. She supports those who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain, offering a space to be truly heard, gain clarity, and build confidence.

Her approach is affirming and inclusive, drawing from a personalized blend of Solution-Focused, Person-Centered, Narrative, and Family Systems therapies. She specializes in identity development, self-worth, and anxiety, and is passionate about supporting LGBTQIA+ clients and others seeking meaningful, lasting change.

LaChelle believes therapy offers a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore one’s experiences, heal, and reconnect with self. She welcomes clients to take the first step toward healing and would be honored to walk alongside them on their journey.

LaChelle is currently accepting new clients including teens, couples, and adults for therapy.

Sarah Potter

When children are struggling, there is often more happening beneath the surface than others can see. Sarah Potter helps children, adolescents, and families better understand emotions, nervous system responses, and the underlying needs driving distress. Her approach is warm, relational, and trauma-informed, with a focus on connection, emotional safety, and meaningful change.

Sarah works with children, teens, and families experiencing anxiety, stress, emotional and behavioral challenges, life transitions, and relationship concerns. Rather than focusing on behavior alone, she helps clients and caregivers develop practical tools that support emotional regulation, resilience, and stronger family connections.

Therapy with Sarah is collaborative, developmentally appropriate, and grounded in dignity, autonomy, and respect. She is committed to creating a supportive, inclusive, and LGBTQIA+ affirming space where clients feel safe, valued, and understood.

Sarah is currently completing her Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand Canyon University. She believes people are not broken. They are often doing the best they can with the support and resources available to them. Therapy can be a place where growth happens without shame, understanding deepens, and families move toward lasting change.
